2 October: The Caledonian Lecture, Field Marshal Haig

The Caledonian Lecture is an annual celebration of Scots who have lived and worked overseas, making a contribution to their adopted country but retaining their Scottish traditions and values. This year’s Lecture re-examined the role of Field Marshal Earl Haig during the First World War conflct and in peacetime. It was delivered by Professor Gary Sheffield on 2 October at the Caledonian Club.
